John “Doomsday” Howard Enters
the My Life My Reality Ring!
Step aside. There’s a new force entering the chaos of what is My Life My Reality the series, and this one hits hard.
John “Doomsday” Howard, the Boston-born MMA veteran with nearly 50 pro fights under his belt, is stepping into a new kind of arena: reality-based fiction. As the newest addition to the series, John brings unmatched presence, layered energy, and a storyline built around community, combat, and the emotional intensity that comes with balancing power and peace.
Introducing the Doomsday Defense Dojo
In the world of My Life My Reality, John plays an exaggerated version of himself: a newly married fighter trying to juggle his past in the cage with a future built around family, business, and healing. His dojo, based in South Easton, becomes a recurring set piece where rivalries flare, students clash, and life lessons get delivered with a mix of wisdom and sarcasm. It’s not just punches being thrown, it’s ego, envy, and everyday messiness.
Scenes will tap into what makes John tick: training young fighters, running his business, and trying (sometimes failing) to maintain balance in his personal life. His on-screen wife is supportive but fiery, and audiences can expect jealousy-fueled arguments, dojo disasters, and neighborhood conflicts that explode in hilarious and heartfelt ways.
Built from Real Fire
While My Life My Reality isn’t a documentary, real elements from John’s life give the character weight. Diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at 33, John’s public journey with neurodiversity will be subtly folded into his character. We’re not preaching. We’re just pulling from truth, the moments of frustration, brilliance, miscommunication, and clarity that come with navigating the world differently.
These beats aren’t just drama. They’re what set John apart on-screen. His character is grounded in something bigger: fighting to be understood in a world that often doesn’t listen.
A Fighter With Depth
John’s real-life resume is brutal and brilliant. He’s fought in the UFC, PFL, Cage Fury, CES MMA, and now Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. With knockout power and technical skill, he’s respected across the industry, but that’s not what makes him a compelling addition to the show.
What makes John different is that he’s not trying to be anyone else. Whether he’s teaching kids at his dojo, mentoring rising fighters, or navigating awkward cast dinners with his signature dry humor, he shows up as himself, rough edges and all.
Expanding the World of the Series
John’s storylines will unfold primarily in South Easton and the surrounding communities, opening up a whole new region for filming and bringing fresh energy into the ensemble. His episodes will blur the lines between street, strategy, and spirituality, as his character attempts to run a business, keep his marriage intact, and hold it down for the culture.
You’ll see him sweating it out with students, clashing with castmates, and trying to explain why his wife keeps catching DMs from his old fans. Spoiler alert: things don’t always go well.
Ready for a New Kind of Fight
This isn’t a show about MMA. It’s a show that just happens to feature a fighter, one who’s finally ready to let his guard down, in more ways than one.
John will be credited as “Self” just like the rest of the cast, but trust, what you’ll see is a character. A version of John who lives in a world where real-life pressure meets fictional chaos, and every episode is a new round in the ring.
We’re hyped to have him join the My Life My Reality family, and even more excited for the madness his storylines will bring.
