The Truth They Don’t Teach
For centuries, humanity identified by tribe, tongue, and territory. But in the 1400s, European colonial powers, recognizing they were the global minority, crafted a lie to justify slavery, land theft, genocide, and global domination.
Truth erased. Labels invented. Systems built.
As European explorers and colonizers reached Africa, Asia, and the Americas, they encountered thriving civilizations, advanced societies, and people rich in melanin. Faced with the reality that they were the minority in a vast, diverse world, Europeans crafted a new narrative to reshape the world in their image.
They assigned value to skin tone. “Black” was distorted to represent danger and reduced to mean savage, inferior, chaotic, and less than human. “White” was constructed to mean pure, superior, dominant, and chosen. “Race” became the illusion that was not a scientific truth but a social invention created to legitimize this hierarchy.
These labels were not harmless. They became the foundation for systems that enslaved, segregated, and erased. Origin was replaced with status. Culture was stripped, painted over with color and unity was replaced with fear.
