Helltown Players More Little Devils:

Six Short Plays, One Powerful Theatrical Event Across Cape Cod!

Helltown Players More Little Devils

Cape Cod’s theater community is buzzing as Helltown Players More Little Devils continues its multi-venue run, captivating audiences with a compelling lineup of six original short plays performed back to back in a single, seamless production. Featuring a mix of award-winning works and world premieres, the show dives into themes of memory, connection, identity, and resilience, leaving audiences deeply moved and eager for more.

Opening night at Cape Rep Theatre set the tone for a remarkable run, with a packed house and standing ovations at the final curtain. Among those in attendance was acclaimed actress Alfre Woodard, whose presence added even more star power to the night.

Woodard, a multi-award-winning actress with an illustrious career spanning over 40 years, has appeared in major films such as Avengers: Civil War, 12 Years a Slave, and Blood Diamond. She’s also known for her iconic TV roles in Luke Cage and Desperate Housewives.

Woodard has won numerous prestigious awards, including an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She’s been recognized for her outstanding talent and contributions to both film and television, earning a spot among the industry’s elite.

Her support on opening night was a true testament to her passion for the arts and her commitment to celebrating exceptional storytelling.

For Jimmy C. Jules, our JFV Works co-founder, More Little Devils marks a major milestone, his theatrical acting debut. While Jules is no stranger to film and commercial work, stepping onto the stage was a completely new experience. Reflecting on the performance, he shared:

Friday night was my first-ever live theater performance, and I have to admit, I felt like I choked a bit,” Jules shared after his debut. “But with Denzel’s voice in my head reminding me this was live… I thought to myself, ‘King Kong ain’t got shit on me’ and kept going until the end.”

Despite the natural nerves of performing live, Jules was met with overwhelming support from the audience and fellow cast members.

“I’m incredibly grateful to be part of Helltown Players More Little Devils and honored to take on the role of Rolando,” says Jules. “A huge thank you to Florence Heller for taking a chance on me, Wendy W. Watson for her brilliant writing, Jim Dalglish, and the entire Helltown Players community for making this experience possible.”
