By the time I watched it, the trailer had already racked up over five million views on YouTube. It’s an action-packed teaser that showcases Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, confidently embracing the Captain America mantle. The trailer gives off a strong Winter Soldier vibe and offers a glimpse of the Red Hulk.

Harrison Ford makes his debut as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, playfully addressing his new appearance, which cleverly acknowledges audience expectations. This meta-commentary helps ease viewers into the dynamic. The trailer also hints at an intriguing storyline involving Isaiah Bradley, who appears to be under some form of mind control, echoing Bucky’s past struggles and even attempting an attack on the president.
Fans of the MCU will be thrilled to see familiar faces returning, including Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres and Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, both reprising their roles from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. If you pause the trailer at the 1:34 mark, you can spot two Falcons in the sky…one wielding the Captain America shield and the other likely Joaquin Torres. The presence of Giancarlo Esposito’s character, who seems to be working under Ross’s orders, adds another layer of intrigue.
One particularly interesting moment in the trailer seems to show the massive celestial statue from Eternals, finally acknowledging its impact on the MCU. Additionally, there is a hint at the introduction of a new metal, which could have significant implications for future storylines.
The trailer wraps up with an exciting reveal of the Red Hulk, who dramatically embeds Captain America’s shield into the ground. This moment, along with the new suit Sam Wilson is sporting, promises thrilling action sequences and intense confrontations.
Scheduled for release on February 14, 2025, Captain America: Brave New World is set to continue the story from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and integrate characters from across the MCU, including Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson reprising their roles from The Incredible Hulk. With Julius Onah directing and a star-studded cast, this film is poised to be a significant entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
